我在1985年造訪中國的三峽後，創作了這幅三峽的畫作。此景象在數年後因政府決定築壩已然消失了。當時，我乘船遊覽三峽，兩岸高聳入雲的峭壁給我留下了深刻的印象。這幅作品在雨中完成，呈現出綠藍色調。
I painted the Three Gorges after my visit in 1985. A few years later, this scene disappeared because the Government decided to close off the gorges by building a dam there. When I took the cruise down the Three Gorges, I was very impressed by the cliffs on both sides of the gorges rising to thousands of feet. The image was finished with the rain and the greenish-bluish hues.
