“I no longer call you servants… but friends.” John 15:15

神修拾穗 Reflections:
本印印文為孔子之言，「有朋自遠方來，不亦樂乎」。古時交通、通訊不如今天方
便，有朋來訪是一件值得慶祝的大事。友誼是我們珍視的人際情誼。我篆刻此印
時，所想起的朋友是耶穌。祂從遙遠的天堂來尋訪我，時刻在我身旁。「我不再稱你們為僕人……而是朋友。」 （若望福音 15:15）
The text of the above seal is a Confucian saying about the joy of experiencing the visit of a friend from
afar. In the old days, when traveling and communication were not as easy as today, to meet a friend was
a great occasion for celebration. Friendship is a form of human love that we highly value. When I carved
this seal, I was thinking in particular of my friend Jesus, who comes to visit me from a far-away place -from
Heaven – and is very close to me. He said, “I no longer call you servants… but friends.” (John 15:15)
